A pretty brunette sat on a light blue beach towel that stretched across a greater portion of the sand she was sitting on. Her arms were behind her and she scanned the beach through her sunglasses while listening to her ipod which was on the blanket. It was a great day for the beach and she couldn't help but be attracted to the blues that stretched out as far as she could see. Her brown hair was down and was falling down her back sexily. The ipod that was seated on top of the towel was playing a Jesse McCartney song that summed up her relationship with the her ex-boyfriend Trent. She was listening intently to the lyrics which described her.

As of right now she sat alone on the beach with a few people she knew but didn't bother to talk to scattered around the beach. But she hoped that soon someone would think to join her that she knew and actually talked to. Someone like Trent but he was probably off somewhere finding another girl to make out with. Reed had been love with Trent but she didn't think too highly of their relationship. Her brother had warned her about the boy's reputation and she hadn't thought anything about it until her birthday party. The events of that night couldn't be forgotten in her mind. It had started off amazingly with everybody she loved being there and getting her gifts but had ended with her crying hysterically herself to sleep.

Her brother had warned her and she should have listened to him. But Reed was stubborn like their mom. She never thought to listen to people who were only trying to protect her. The events that night had brought her and her brother closer with him fighting Trent to protect his little sister. It was sweet when you thought about it, completly unexpected from playboy Jake Brennan but afterall they were family and that was what family did. As for Audrie, the girl that Jake had found Trent cheating on Reed with was probably out somewhere licking her wounds from the brunette. She had punched that bitc.h so hard it had almost knocked her out. As for Trent, she had slapped him with everything she could muster up. Even though he was a cheating bastard, she wanted to see what he had to say to sum up for his actions.

The sun had been something she was craving for the longest time. Now that school was slowly drifting into an end, the sun was out more and more which meant ample time for sun tanning. She couldn't believe that she was going to be graduating school in only a matter of months. It was her last year in high school and she couldn't be more happy. The end of high school meant graduation parties with booze and bodies. Sex was her addiction and Alcohol was her drug. They were both lethal with many doses but she never let it get that far. Once she had pushed the limits on the latter and gotten alcohol poisoning but that still hadn't made her shy away from the beverage.

Her ipod now switched to The Police's song "Every Breath You Take" of course she had her ipod on the "Trent playlist" that played every single song that reminded her of him. This one had always been her favorite and even though it was probably meant for a guy to dedicate the song to her, she thought it was cute to describe his addicting form. When they were together, she wanted to be around him every second of the day. He had some quality in him that made her intrigued and turned on at the same time. The sex had been amazing but she had others now that she was a free woman.

Her sunlight was blocked by a tall form who she couldn't make out at the second. The hands that she had held behind her reached out in front of her to turn off her ipod and get ready to yell at them for blocking her sun but she heard the familiar voice talking to her that made her smirk and decide against her actions. "Yes in fact I do Mr.Ramsey, would you mind getting my chest, I just can't seem to look down enough without having my headache pound into my head to get down there" The brunette spoke and looked up to the boy with a smirk set upon her delicate face. Her eyebrows rose as if it were a challenge that she wanted him to take.

Reed didn't obsess over being tan but she can tan without anything like tanning lotion so she took advantage of it. People who were old and tanned on the beach looked disgusting with a tan. That's why she hardly ever went to the beach to tan, she'd much rather do it in her own backyard by the pool that way she didn't get salt water on her and she could just grab something to eat from the house when she got hungry instead of buying it from the snackbar on the pier or from a vendor. The beach wasn't her cup of tea but still she went if she had to especially if her parents were home.

It wasn't early but it wasn't nescessarily late either. It was around 1 in the afternoon which meant there were possibly some cute boys out at the beach and that included Dax. He was tall, brunette and had killer blue eyes. Those were three things that were a huge turn on for her. He was gorgeous that was a given and she knew that if they got together they would make a gorgeous couple. Usually two brunettes or two blondes in a relationship were kind of boring but in her case he was gorgeous and she was gorgeous a good match.

Reed smirked once the boy replied to her. "Can you at least get my back so I don't burn?" The brunette spoke and pouted at him hoping he would ablige. She hated sunburn and avoided it at all costs. Even if she could get a perfect tan, she burned alot of the time. The sun was beating down on Reed and she desperatly wanted to go into the water but the water was grimy unlike a pool. One of the reasons she loved the pool so much.

Reed rarely socialized when she went to the beach. She was more of a quiet person with her ipod on full blast and her eyes closed. But when she was with people at the beach she actually did talk more than usual. That wasn't the case with Dax right about now. She seemed to be a mute today aside from the fact that she had challenged his integrity. The brunette guessed he caught on to her challenge and didn't want to rise to it and mess things up between them.

Her green eyes settled on the water. There were many people in the water whether they were boogie boarding or jumping the waves everyone seemed to be having fun. Being at the beach reminded her of the days when her and her parents used to go to the beach and her father would take her out to the deepest part where she would freak out and try to get him to swim back to the shore. He wouldn't oblige but she wouldn't care anymore. He always used to tease her about how the lobsters were going to come and get her. That was when they were a happy family and her parents didn't fight.

The green eyes of the brunette turned back to Dax as he spoke and she smirked. In a matter of seconds he was at her back putting the lotion on. She was glad she had someone to do it, usually her back was the first place she would burn. Then he disappeared and she didn't see him again until he hit the water and splashed her minutes later. "You asshole" The brunette spoke as she got splashed with water. Putting her hair up into a messy bun, she walked towards the water hoping the lotion had time to settle into her skin and she waded into the water getting to the part where he was and she pushed his head down dunking him into the water.
