i've got you, i've got you on my mind.

Esther craved getting out of the house. Every chance she got, she would yelp to ask if she could go out. She found as many opportunities as she could to get out of that mad house. With friends, well, I guess, with Lexxie and Dorian, she jumped at the chance to go to their house or somewhere else. It wasn't like she was a caged bird, even though maybe she was the equivalent to that in some ways. But, when her mother offered if Esther could take the beat up mini-van to the store to Wal-Mart to get food, Esther couldn't say yes fast enough.

After changing out of her pajamas to a pair of jeans and a long sleeved black t-shirt, she got into the car and began to drive to the Wal-Mart. It was interesting, it had been a long time since she got to drive. Usually either the whole family went out and either of her parents drove. Or one of her siblings drove or even maybe one of her friends. And when she wanted to go somewhere, usually of the cars were gone. But she was still a good driver. Well, somewhat.

When she had arrived at Wal-Mart she had smoothed out her jeans and started to walk into the store entrance, grabbing a cart and producing the list from her pocket. She headed towards the 'female care' section, getting the first items on the list, three packages of tampons. Great. She tried to study the list while manuevering the cart, and was doing a great job till she came to the ladies' deodoran t display, knocking over the complicated pyramid.

Her mouth instantly dropped into an O and suddenly an acne-faced employee was running over to her, waving his arms as if she had just threatned to bomb the wal-mart. "Excuse me! Excuse me!" He came over to her, tapping her a bit too harshly. She stepped back, raising an eyebrow as he began screaming at her. She yawned, rubbing her eyes. Great. She was getting yelled at by some stupid kid because she knocked over a wall of deodrants. Her mother would never believe this when she had to explain why she was out so long.

He'd walked here, it'd been hell but he supposed in the long run it was going to be worth it, since he was here for chocolate and that pretty much ruled his world. He was at the very end of the building, shoes scuffing against the tarmac as he walked, the bottoms of his jeans torn and ragged from also scraping along the ground. He was simply dressed really, other than his baggy dark jeans all he wore was a white t-shirt, his hair flopping over his face, his expression ever so slightly thoughtful.

He'd pretty much daydreamed his way here, thinking about a number of things in a matter of minutes, his mind never staying on one subject for too long. That was the way he liked it of course, constant mental change, otherwise he got bored, see? It didn't take him long to reach the front door to Wal-Mart, he walked - or shuffled, rather - through the doors and continued walking. He was careful to pick up his feet now, instead of his usual lazy shuffle across the ground he used proper steps, hating the squeaking sound his shoes made on the shiny floor.

He navigated his way through the aisles, heading the chocolate but a bizarre and altogether random crashing noise made him stop. He wasn't usually the nosy type but the crash had been followed shortly by shouting and that sparked his interest somewhat, he backtracked to the hygiene related things, amused to see cans of deodorant rolling about the place. It was then he noticed the girl stood behind the cart that had obviously knocked the display over, a somewhat affectionate - for that was the best way to describe it - look came across his face. Esther was a friend of his, so when he realised the idiot clerk was shouting at her he stomped over, dead cert on putting the fucking loser in his place.

Lexxie ended up by Esther's shoulder, giving her a gentle poke in the back to let her know he was there before his attention was on the clerk. 'excuse me, correct me if i'm wrong,' He paused, waiting for the clerk to actually look at him - which he did after his surprisingly polite interruption. 'but isn't it your job to clean up messes like this one, and not shout at the lovely paying customers?' He asked, a slightly harsher tone to his voice, he gave the clerk a look of disdain and finally looked back at Esther. 'hello est,' He greeted, his tone and facial expression having change drastically in mere seconds.
